The afternoon of unimaginable delight – Daily Style
Today was the most pleasant day ever. I woke up in the morning and made a delicious slice. Then Mr Smaggle and I spent the afternoon on a picnic rug reading craft books. Well I was reading craft books, he was reading a book on business. Now we are just watching a few episodes of Sex in the City before we head to a mexican feast for my cousins birthday… What a delicious weekend!

This dress sure is awesome – I’m in love!
OMG what a spectacular photo! You looking breath taking gorgeous. Where was it taken? Love the dress to. I had a very boring weekend -in front of the computer writing a essay for my creative writing unit at UC – boring! I must say dressed in jeans and a cardi
Oh-my-god, that is SUCH an amazing photo! You look like such a super star!!
Really beautiful! Where did you take that?!
where is that? it looks like you’re diva-ing in the Hamptons or summat. Surely that isn’t lil ol Canbs?
also love the Cunard-esque bracelet stacks.
Home run! This outfit is spectacular. I’m gald you had a great day. I ended up having friends over to soak up subn and have a bbq, they brought the food. Don’t you love weekends with no expectations, they always turn out the best.
Amazing photo! Really amazing! I really adore your dress, it’s so gorgeous
Nadine – Thanks love! I rarely wear patterns but I really like this one!
Bridie – Thank you! It was taken right near the Governer General’s residence near the cotter… I think. You got to UC? You probably recognise the background of most of my daily outfit shots then!
Ivy – Ha ha! Thank you! It was freezing and a swan was trying to eat our picnic food!
Susie Bubble – Thank you! It was taken in my humble little city of Canberra Australia. Canberra is actually the capital of Oz and it’s not really as bad as everyone makes out. The seasons are lovely.
Na – Near the Governer General’s! It’s gorgeous. Mr Smaggle found this area when he was going for a run one afternoon. It’s really nice we should all picnic there soon!
Hailey – Totally! My weekend was lovely although I’m surprisingly tired after it. Can’t figure out why considering the fact that I slept so much. Well done on getting your mates to bring the food!
Sam – Thank you!
I have run across that bridge many a time – red faced, sweaty and puffing! Not looking as gorgeous on it as you do. I went out to a lovely Tappas dinner on Sat night. Which was great until the waitress spilt a whole glass of white wine all over (wait for it ….) my NEW ALANNAH HILL jacket!!! I tried really hard not to cry and am proud to report that I managed to remain calm and collected (helped by the fact the restaurant will pay for the dry cleaning) xx
Fliss – It would be a lovely place to run. That’s how Mr Smaggle found it. Where did you have Tappas? NOT THE ALANNAH HILL JACKET!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least it was white wine though hey? Would have been waaaaaay worse if it was red! Eek!
Hi sweets,
I had Tappas at Pangaea in Manuka. I must admit that in my positive reframing at the time I did tell myself that it could have been red (i.e. heaps worse) however this was quick to slip from my mind as the waitresses kept opening the door and without being able to wear my wet, soggy jacket I was cold. And you know how I am about being cold!! ….
Fliss – Oh no! That’s awful. You don’t do well with cold I know. At least the damage isn’t permanent though hey?
Better late than never, but I just had to add that I too think this is the most stunning photo – such lovely soft light – and the autumnal colours of your dress look gorgeous with that backdrop. Methinks Mr Smaggle = great photographer.
Gervy – He is a fabulous photographer! I should get him to do my outfits shots more often…
