Ruffles and Lace – Daily Style

Ruffles and Lace – Daily Style
Carly Jacobs

Sorry for not posting yesterday my lovelies but we were having serious staffing issues at work and I kind of had to freelance myself yesterday. So by the time I got home from hours of examining test papers my eyes just couldn’t cope with words anymore. Also my cat’s head exploded on me last night and I was far too traumatised to continue with any usual activities. It’s not really as bad as it sounds but he likes to get in fights with other cats so he is generally scabby and pus-ridden most of the time. One of his particularly nasty and infected wounds decided to pop open RIGHT AS HE WAS SITTING BESIDE ME!!! I’m telling you that gunk was one centimetre away from Peter Alexander slippers. So after my bath of disinfectant last night I had little time to blog about frivolous things such as fashion. I was too busy wondering what diseases he passed on to me. Was that an over share?

* Opaques from Myer

* Shoes from Big W

* Skirt from Tree of Life

* Belt from a costume from a musical I was in

* Top from Target

* Necklace Smaggle made

This afternoon I’m off to the gym and then Mr Smaggle and I are starting on Season 2 of Big Love. Oh hell yeah!

Love Lady Smaggle

    I think this outfit is super cute, love how its seperates pulled together with that belt, looks like the cutest dress ever.

    whats the necklace? im squinting & not sure if its those teeth necklaces( kinda bit random with this outfit) or some kinda of fringey thing?

    This is a particularly attractive outfit. The high waist gives you those giraffe legs you’re always after. Skirt and shoes rock — you’re so right to keep the rest matte and black. Top marks young lady.

    Cookie – The necklace is just lots of shards of shell on two strings. I made it years ago. And yes my kitty is fine. His head didn’t actually explode.

    Tenith – Thanks they were a total bargain.

    Miss Schlegal – Giraffe legs? Wow I’m usually so stumpy. That description makes me very happy.

    Nadine – Thanks dear.

    Bloomy – I love it when people squee!

    YB – Very sterile now thank you. It was pretty hairy there for a while the volume was rather disturbing.

    Jocelyne – Oh he can’t help it! He just bi-polar he is really lovely one minute and then he his killing and eating rabbits the next. I love him dearly though.

    Nicole – Ha ha! I love the love so bring it one! I clearly like being stalked otherwise I couldn’t post pictures of myself on the net right? 🙂

    Marianne – Sadly I don’t think they sell them anymore. It was about a year ago.

    Lauren – Tree of Lige circa 1999. They occasionally have similar ones there so keep checking.

    Na – Thanks lady… I’m wanting to experiment with heavily beaded collars.

    I am in love with your skirt and consequently with you too. But I guess that’s the risk you take with having a fashion blog right? That’s just what I’m going to tell myself so I feel less like a creepy stalker. 🙂

    nice duds, babe. the bow especially. and the necklace. actually, the first thing I thought was that the necklace was part of the dress, kinda like a collar made of awesome.
