A little bit of black – Daily Style

Today is one of those days where I thought my outfit looked awesome this morning but now that I have taken my daily outfit shot I think that I look like a midget emo clown. This afternoon I’m off for happy hour drinks and then Mr Smaggle and I are going to have deep and intellectually stimulating conversations… while playing Mario Kart.

* Black opaques x 2 from Coles. I’m super toasty today!

* Skirt from Valley Girl

* Black mini dress worn as top from Cowboys and Angels

* Bow belt from a musical I was in

* Scrabble ‘Lady’ necklace from Groglmann

* Three broken antique watches

Love Lady Smaggle

Oh God, Honey, I’m so glad you said it first. Ditch that outfit and go back to the foxy jeans look stat.

Midget Emo Clown – that’s the name I’m planning for my next child!
I think you look pretty damn cute, actually…

  7. gryphangirl

    I like it :)

Don’t listen to them, girl. That bow hits you in exactly the wrong spot and shortens the look of your torso so you look squished together thus the midget emo clown affect. It might work with a different belt or if you never raise your arms when you wear this.

I think your ensemble is cute! I love the bows and the all black. It might not be as slimming as others you have worn, but hey, trying new things is what makes fashion fun. I have that problem all the time, I’ll put something on, feel great then later look at the pictures and feel like it could have been a better silhouette. But you don’t need to worry because you have a great body and are adorable!!

    I say, rock it!!

    i think you look adorable!

emo clowns all over the world are ‘cutting’ themselves to look this good!

Uh, what midget emo clown? I actually really like this outfit, it’s like a gothic ballerina!

midget emo clown HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Yeah I like the pieces, you just gotta rethink how to wear them, or mix it with something else.

Emma – Ha ha! Pjs alwasy make me feel sad if I wear them during the day. And I meant no offense to your emo clown friends. :-)

Nadine – Thanks! I think it’s a little unflattering around my legs but I like it anyway

Ivy – I just feel very short and stumpy in this outfit. Mr Smaggle thought I looked like a present too!

Cjcat – Wow are we really at that stage of the friendship? Shouldn’t you buy me a cocktail before you start agreeing that I look stumpy? :-)

Miss Corrine – I LOVE these shoes. They are my babies.

Skye – Couldn’t you call your child Baby Smaggle instead…?

Cjcat – Wow you really don’t like this outfit do you? I actually thought it was my legs that made me stumpy but it’s nice to know my torso contributes as well.

Jocelyne – Thanks love! That’s just what I think! If I only ever wore clothes that were super flattering I really wouldn’t have much choice.

    Julie – :-)

Imelda Matt – Cutting themselves while listening to Green Day. :-)

    Stephanie – Thanks!

ShowA59 – Yeah the skirt needs re-working a little. I love it but it doesn’t do my thighs any favours. And normally my thighs aren’t that much of an issue.

Sorry, dear, I didn’t mean to get pushy. I really don’t like this outfit. It’s the least favorite thing I’ve ever seen you wear. It’s not your torso or your legs, it’s that belt with the length of the skirt. It would cut anyone in half so it’s not your figure that’s at fault. I guess from now on, I’ll keep my opinions to myself. Ta.

  16. Lady Smaggle

Cjcat – Oh you don’t have to keep your opinions to yourself! That’s why I added the smiley :-)

I really like people being honest and feeling free to say what they like. But if you really don’t like an outfit I only need to hear it once. Unless it’s really, really bad… then you can say it twice! :-)

  17. cjcat

Yes, Dear. I’m well aware of when to use emphasis.

  18. Erin

Wow, I looked at this pic and thought how fabulous and cute and toned you look! If this is what a stumpy emo clown looks like I want to run away to the circus…
