Not my usual daily style…
These jeans are my favourite, slob around the house jeans. I usually wear them with a singlet top, thongs and head scarf while doing unimpressive things like vacuuming my car. Surprisingly Mr Smaggle thinks they are really sexy. As does Mama Smaggle. A few months ago I would rather have grated my face than wear these jeans in public but with the crazy praise that these jeans pull at my house I thought I might sneak them into a jeans Friday… how ever inappropriate they may be for the office.
* Jeans… I have no idea where I bought them. I’m just going to say ‘1999′. I couldn’t be bothered sewing them so the frayed hem is held with safety pins.
* Singlet top from Meg Mortan (who is still selling at the Kingston Markets so buy up big before she goes all designer on us)
* Cardigan from Giovanni
* Shoes from Big W
* Earrings from Centrepiece
* Bangles from Diva, thrifted and Bowling Arm
This weekend I’m working on my application, making gluten free sausage rolls, planning my birthday party (my birthday is next Tuesday! I’m turning 25 and I still do count downs until the big day) and painting my nails.
What do you have planned for the weekend?
Love Lady Smaggle

P.S Can I get a consensus here? How weird do I look in jeans? I just always think that I look like someone else made me wear them.

You look like a total rockstar honey!!! I wish I looked that hot in jeans.
You look excellent, and no less cool than usual! Though, jeans are all in the bum… which we can’t see! (I’m a girl, I promise!)
You know… you look absolutely smoking in your skinny jeans, I’m not joking, have a look back… and… the SJP top would look hot with those! eh, just my humbly opinion
I think you look gorgeous
I really love these jeans on you! They look just perfectly worn in.
Wow, those are excellent jeans! I love a good faded denim. Also love the cardi with rolled up sleeves and all the bangles.
I’ve got jazz-dance-concert rehearsal, surf safety training, and ballet-costume-fabric shopping. And fighting off a cold (”Fight! Win!”)
got to love a kick arse pair of denims….love the pic and more importantly, love, LOVE your style and blog.
x
Um, I was actually going to say you look really good – it’s nice to have a pair of ’slob around the house’ jeans you look awesome in, hey?!
Also, I love the Solo can in the garden in the background – I too live in a house with a garden that seems to accumulate these – I’m actually contemplating making a ‘Jack Daniels can tree’!
Oh you nail it in those jeans – they are the kind of thing that stylists and designers thrutch away at trying to get ‘effortless style’ into – and there you go just magicking it up! You look fab.
you look lovely darling
I will be in sydney this weekend for a hens nite (sigh….nothing quite so sad as a 24 week pregnant lady watching strippers and trying to dance), but to make it all worthwhile I am hoping to squeeze in a trip to Ikea.
Hope I get to catch up with you soon smaggle pants!
i think they look rather fetching on you m’dear!
is birthday tuesday the tuesday in 4 days? or the one after that?
You have such an amazing collection of bangles, Lady S. I’m a tad jealous.
I wouldn’t say sexy exactly, but they still look pretty good!
I have a very dear friend who bought his first EVER pair of jeans about a month ago. I did not realise this (and nearly spat the contents of my short black out when he told me) but he has worn slacks his entire life… Recently he wore them in my presence, and I understood. Some people are not supposed to wear jeans.
You, however, are not one of those people.xxxxx
You look great in jeans love- and I think these jeans would fall under the category of Boyfriend Jeans perhaps, which the likes of Kate Hudson and Katie Holmes are apparently bringing back into fashion.
You’re officially on the cusp of a trend!
Xx
Nope. You’re definitely hot in jeans. Which isn’t a sentence I use very often, so there!
Happy birthday for Tuesday!!
You look really good in those! It’s kind of funny how you got them in 1999 and they’re back in style now, but anyway, they’re really cool.
Scribbles – Ah! A rockstar! That’s awesome. Totally the look I was going for.
B – Yeah there’s a reason why you can’t see the bum…
Ninaribena – Hmm… I’ll totally have to try that!
Song – Thank you.
Christy – They are ridiculously old!
Nadist – Oh I hope you beat your horrible cold!
Katejean – Oh thank you! An welcome to Smaggle!
Miss Em – Oh my! I didn’t even notice the Solo can! Ha! It’s actually outside my office. I work at a University.
E – thank you! They are an interesting colour to try and work with.
Mrs Munk – Will do my love! I hope you had as much fun as be in expected in your current state…
Josephine – Tomorrow is my birthday! Grand old 25… eep!
Sal – Look, love it takes years of dedication. One never really stops collecting bangles.
KD – yeah I wouldn’t go with sexy either… I actually think Mr Smaggle has a fetish for the head scarf more than the jeans.
Fifi – Um… who? Molla?
Grant – except my boyfriend would get fit 10 times over in these jeans. He is TINY!
Natalie – Thanks! I just feel strange in them… although perhaps I should wear them more.
Hannah Cheeto – Totally! Trends are coming back way too soon for my liking!
Nah, the jeans thing is all in your head! You can totally rock them.
Love the jeans! Perfect casual look. I sometimes think we look our best when we’re most comfortable.
the jeans look awesome on you
and those sunnies are cool too by the way.
I just saw this pic trying to do some homework and I just think you look awesome. Those jeans, and picturing the thong, are awesome
clyde – um… thanks. Very sweet of you but here in Australia ‘thongs’ are flipflops. And ‘a thong’ is a g-string. I hate to disappoint you but I always wear sensible underwear.
