Sorry for the mega bleached plastic look but it was the only way to get the detail on my dress to show. Besides you’ve seen my face a million times already.

This afternoon I’m having back to back coffees (beers???) with three of my oldest friends. And then I REALLY have to pack… because I’m moving to Melbourne on Saturday! Freak out.

In honour of my last day working with Browny (which is actually tomorrow) I have compiled a photo diary of a day in the life of Browny and Lady Smaggle. I’m sorry if this bores you but she has taken my outfit shot every day for two years and I’m giving her a tribute because she is magnificent. My blog owes her. And I’m going to miss her terribly. Here is a fairly typical day in the life of us…

9am – Arrived at work. Checked emails. Opened mail. Watched this on you tube. Ate some chocolate that we saw on the lunch table and stole. Went back for more chocolate.

10.30am – Went to get our coffee from Pete, our favourite coffee guy. If anyone but Pete makes our coffee it takes like lukewarm dishwater. Pete is the man.

10.40am – Drank our coffee in the sun. Ate a Freddo frog. Vowed not to eat any more chocolate today.

12am – Ate a shit load of fruit and almonds.

1.30am – Ate our lunch on the grass. Got bitten by ants.

3pm – Ate a banana. Went outside to take outfit shot. This is Browny taking my picture. She obviously isn’t holding the camera (because I have it. Der.) but this is the angle that she takes it at everyday.

5.30pm – Went for a walk up Mt Ainslie. Regretted the choice of bright pink socks.

8.30pm to …? – Went to a bar to see our friend in a gig. Drank a lot of gin. Stumbled home at god knows what time.

We are not feeling great today. But googling baby hedgehogs has made the day go a whole lot faster.

This evening I’m going to walk up a big arse hill and then I’m going out for dinner with Browny and then we are both heading to a pub to see our friend’s gig. I swear I’m going to pack soon… I’m booking the removalist for Friday so I won’t have much choice soon!

By the way it’s 34 degrees celcius here today. I’m melting.

I had the most exhausting day EVER! I woke up early and went for a run. Then it was off to the movies to see Bride Wars with Mama Smaggle (not too shabby considering Anne Hathaway and her face consuming teeth was in it). Then it was time for lunch out and a pedicure. Then I ran on over to my aunt’s house for a dip in the pool and then I spent the evening drinking wine with my girls. I’m so tired. Sometimes life is just a little too crazy isn’t it???

I’m sick of making silly, hardcore resolutions every year that are dripping with negativity. I won’t do this, I won’t do that… bleurgh! This year is the year of wills for Smaggle so I’m making a list of the things I WILL do instead of all that yucky no stuff…

* I WILL eat good, fresh and delicious food.  

* I WILL break a sweat everyday. I made this resolution last year too and stuck to it. Seriously, exercise is like heroin. Get into it. Exercise I mean… obviously not heroin.

* I WILL take the time to paint my fingernails.

* I WILL keep up with my skin care routine. 

* I WILL wear high heels and not care that I am a towering giant.

* I WILL wear red lipstick during the day.

* I WILL make an effort to look nice every single day. 

* I WILL have a gin and tonic on the weekends and not feel guilty about it. 

* I WILL get mega buff, avoid carbohydrates like the plague, become a strict vegan, have regular colonoscopies, get a little preventative botox, marry a millionaire and do Cindy Crawford’s Buns of Steel until I can crack walnuts in my butt cheeks.

I’m currently lying on the bed of our uber cool hotel in Christchurch. It’s called So and it’s an old office building that they converted into a hotel. The room is tiny but so so cool. We are up at 4.30 tomorrow to catch our flight back home to Australia. I’m horrified that there is another 4.30 in the day. I thought there was only one 4.30 and that it was for drinking coffee and eating oranges with Browny (for my new readers Browny is my work mate and my faux wife). I’m thinking that the other 4.30 is not going to be nearly as pleasant. This evening Mr Smaggle and I celebrated our last evening in New Zealand with a delicious Thai food picnic and a shared bottle of champagne. Bliss!

I sneakily smaggled this gorgeous gal today in Christchurch with her uber cool boyfriend. We hastily snapped the photo while waiting for our Korean takeaway. I feel terrible for not telling her but she was too damn cool not to share. Her hair is yellow and pink. And she has candy bracelets all the way up both arms. She’s like me on acid.

Over the weekend Mr Smaggle and I were in Queenstown which is probably the coolest place we’ve been. We booked a ridiculously commercial ‘Triple Challenge’ which consisted of a helicopter ride, a jet boat ride and then two hours of white water rafting. It was AWESOME! Even though I nearly threw up on the jet boat. Here is what I wore on Saturday night Queenstown… all covered in bruises and sand fly bites.
