When the publicist for the Alliance Française French Film Festival emailed to ask whether I would like to attend the special screening of Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky at the National Film and Sound archive I immediately accepted the invitation. The film is rumoured to start where Coco Avant Chanel (with Audrey Tautou) finished and has a much stronger focus on Coco as a business woman and on the development of the Chanel empire. How terribly appropriate.
