To be honest, the Oscars frocks this year were a little beige. Literally. Personally, I’m terrified of colour but I do like the celebrities to get a little fancy on the red carpet and there wasn’t much that raised my eyebrows this years. I was going to compile a list of my ten favourites but I could only find seven. Enjoy.

The gorgeous Cate. She can do no wrong as far as I’m concerned. Ever.

The fantastic Florence Welsh in a gutsy yet beautiful gown.

I love Gwyneth, and I’m not ashamed to say it. She looks sleek and healthy. As always.

Helen Mirren. Vivienne Westwood. Very happy Smaggle.

I’m still debating this ethereal piece on Miss Moore, but I couldn’t stop staring at it and I interpret that as a dubious kind of admiration.

I’m pretty sure this dress is amazing but I have a massive girl crush on Mila Kunis so I can’t be sure. She could be wearing Juicy Couture velour and I would be all over it.

Sharon copped some bad press this year but you know what? I like it. It’s age appropriate, it’s fearless, it’s fabulous. Go Shazza.
