Daily Style – Tailored Jacket and Tan Pumps

I’m spending the day writing so I decided to get my casual secretary on.

* Jeans Levi Curve ID Demi Curve from Just Jeans
* Singlet top and long sleeved t-shirt both from Target
* Belt from BCBG in Manuka in Canberra
* Shoes from Amazon
* Coin necklace from my grandfather
* Earrings by Bouvier from Bijoux in Canberra
* Jacket from Shop Ruche

Luckily today is quite warm in the sun but I always struggle to look polished in winter. It’s normally all boots and tights.

How do you dress up in winter?

Love your jacket!!! I actually did some shopping on Ruche the other day (for the first time) and it was all thanks to one of your old blog posts from a while back that convinced me that Ruche was good stuff

never iron your jeans – wears then out too fast. my go to for looking chic in the winter months is always a fab, huge, snuggly scarf. easy to wear and goes with everything

I had one years ago but it left fluff on everything. Will have to get back on it!

Wait — boot and tights isn’t a polished look? That’s pretty much what I wear to work through winter, to make my ample collection of skirts and dresses last all year round. A singlet under everything and a blazer on top and off you go!

I’m with Magatha May, please don’t ever iron your jeans. Who does that? Plus, I think the scrunchiness adds a nice edge to the outfit, but that’s probably just me. Love the blazer, actually the whole outfit is great : )

They are so hard to walk in. Not uncomfortable I’m just a fast walker and pumps are bit difficult to keep my feet in.

Sorry I meant dressy! I wear boots and tights all day everyday and when I want to get a little dressy I still feel like boots and tights are my only option!

Are you more labelsy though now? I may be remembering wrong, but you used to wear lots more “no provenance” op shop stuff.

I moved to Melbourne two years ago! But still spend a lot of time in Canberra.

I did used to wear more op-shop stuff but I’m finding it hard to get good quality thrifted stuff in Melbourne. Op-shops here get picked over by vintage sellers and I can’t afford to shop there!

Am I commercial if I shop at Just Jeans and Target?
