Have You Ever Had a Brazilian Wax?
by Carly JacobsThis question was presented to myself and a group of girlfriends at a hen’s night over the weekend. A friend of mine, who has recently turned thirty, has a theory that Brazilian waxes are a generational phenomonen.
She works with several 20-something women, who revealed that they have regular Brazilian waxes and that they book these appointments, like clockwork, along with their hair appointments, every six to eight weeks.
Amongst the six women present when this question was asked (all of whom are in their late 20s or very early 30s) I was the only one who had tried a Brazilian wax. I did it once, wasn’t overly fussed about it and had little desire to fork over $50 plus every six weeks to maintain it. The remaining five women had never even tried it.
Our theory is that anyone born in the early 80s (or before) seems unphased by this hairless trend and anyone born in the late 80s/early 90s seems to think that body hair is repulsive and must be removed with staunch regularity and brutality.

W0uld you mind taking a moment to answer the following questions?
a) What year were you born?
b) Have you ever had a Brazilian wax? (Meaning total pubic baldness. Not including bikini waxes and landing strips.)
c) If yes, how regularly have you had or do you have them?
I’d love to see if our theory is correct.
