i personally wouldn’t (not my style!) but i remember back in high school (10+ years ago now) my BFF wore them all the time. I remember one customer at work (we also worked together) commented it was odd how she looked over the lenses rather than through them- caught red-handed! haha

I secretly pretend my eyesight is a little worse than it actually is and wear my glasses all the time.  My Italian teacher, Concetta, had the coolest little cats-eye glasses on the other week and would only tell me where she got them from if I asked in Italian “dove gli hai comprato?”.  You should try Oliver Peoples too, they have the most stylish glasses, though they are a little pricey!

I actually really don’t like how glasses look and much to my horror I actually really need reading glasses. I mean, I hate glasses, really hate them! So every discussion my partner and I have had about me getting them has ended in tears. So more or less, the thought of me wearing glasses make me cry, litterally. And seeing as I find contacts very daunting, I’m scared.

I don’t really care about glasses on other people and have a lot of friends who wear them, but I could never wear them myself…

Interesting question. I have a pair of vintage cats-eye non-prescription glasses that I’ve worn a few times this year, mainly as a way of subverting how I feel about myself. Oddly enough it’s been on those days when I feel an overwhelming ambivalence about how I look, so much so that I almost can’t leave the house, that those traditionally ‘unpretty’ items have been like a suit of armour for my otherwise naked and vulnerable face. Heavy burden for a pair of bakelite and diamonte frames!

I actually really like how I look in glasses and I often get screen fatigue from being in front of the computer for too long. I borrow Mr Smaggles glasses! Must get some of my own. 

I guess glasses have had their trendy phase but that judge on BNTM Grace someone who’s a sylist has me hankering for a full collection of fake eyewear. 

Secretly? I’m about to start doing that too! See above… I call it ‘eye fatigue’.

I had laser eye surgery and while I am overjoyed with my new sight, I miss wearing glasses sometimes. I think I look smarter in glasses too.

I wear glasses for real. I always avoided it because everyone knows guys don’t make passes at girls who wear glasses (pah!) until my eyes couldn’t take 24/7 contact-wearing anymore. So now I wear my super-cool, super-swish Ralph Lauren frames a few days a week. 

Would I wear glasses if I wasn’t blind as a bat? Probably not, but that’s me speaking as someone who knows I have to wear them and doesn’t get the appeal.
