Many, many moons ago back when I worked at a university and a full time writing career seemed as plausible as growing a third breast, this blog consisted mainly of oufit posts. Mainly, against a blue wall. Man, I was so vintage back then.
Anyway as my little corner of the web slowly got bigger, it also became a professional space, one that I use as a portfolio for creative pursuits. Which means that I often feel a little weird posting photos of my outfits, when I’m not entirely sure who is reading my blog and for what reasons.
This is why I have created a Tumblr account to house my outfit photos. I’ve been sneakily adding to it for a few months now but it’s here if you want to check it out.
I do want to ask though… would you rather…
a) Outfit shots on the main blog
or
b) An outfit shot button on the main blog that leads to the tumblr, with a twitter and facebook alert when it’s been updated
Do let me know! It’s a new system I’m trialing and I’d love to get your feedback!

Outfit shots on the main blog but I also totally understand your reasons. I’ve been thinking of doing the same as Im slowly grow my blog to post my design/decorating projects which will be my portfolio.

…seriously though, there’s no real need for compartmentalising things. Maybe add all your portfolio-esque posts to a category and then use *that* link when you’re off pimping your wares?

Main blog, but I see your reasoning, so I don’t mind going to tumblr. I mean, yeah, the staggering hardships of an extra click and everything, but I’m willing to deal with it. 😛

I have no problem clicking through to the Tumblr to see your outfit posts, it’s kind of neat to see them all together at once.
I understand the want to compartmentalise. I say do what feels most comfortable to you.

I’d love to see outfit shots on the main blog, but I wouldn’t shy away from clicking through to Tumblr if that’s what it takes to see your fab ensembles.

Outfit pics on the main site- it’s why we started visiting your blog in the first place! I don’t think it makes you look less “professional”. or “serious”, contrary-wise I think it adds just one more dimension to your already multifaceted portfolio.
