I’m completely in love with stretch fabrics. I love jersey, knits, anything with a bit of give because if there’s one thing that I hate, it’s feeling uncomfortable. I’m a total Metalicus addict but I can only afford one or two pieces from there per year so I’m constantly on the look out for more affordable alternatives. Recently I’ve discovered Verily which is a lovely online store that sells sensible clothing (and by sensible I mean that it covers your lady garden AND your boobies AT THE SAME TIME!) in a great range of colours and styles.

I got the lovely owner of this eboutique to fill in the blanks and tell us all about her little corner of the web.

My name is Leonie Macleod and I started my shop in 2009 at www.verily.com.au. We sell our own range of designs, made in Australia for real women.

My current favourite piece in the store is the Burnt Orange Tunic Dress. I love using classic designs, such as the shift dress.

As a shop owner I spend my days doing everything! Organising fabrics, my sewers, packaging, sending orders, updating my store, grading patterns, sampling new designs…..

My favourite piece for the season is the Cross my Heart Dress in animal print (featured above!). This dress looks great in charcoal too.

My best seller is the Long Striped Dress, a simple crushed knit piece that’s easy to layer and style. The Merino Cape Tunic is also very popular, made in Australian merino it’s beautiful and easy to wear. I have had women from 20 to  70 buy this classic style.

Our customers are as I would say, ‘timeless’. She is not bound by age, body shape or trend, but has a ageless style. She looks for clothes that make her feel beautiful, confident and relaxed.

I’m not exactly a spring chicken anymore and in my old age I’m finding that too many stores that are supposed to cater for women my age (late-20-somethings) are missing the mark in a huge way. Like selling ‘dresses’ that are more like midriff tops and ‘knee length skirts’ that more like… well… midriff tops. I’ve started shopping in stores that cater for a slightly older demographic and I’m finding it to be a perfect fit. Literally. Oh and if you love the dress I’m wearing it’s available here. I’m wearing a size 14 (my usual size) and I’m about 172cm tall.

Where do you shop for your go to pieces? For comfort and style?
