This dress was completely out of my budget but I ate baked beans for a month to afford it and it was totally worth it. The cost per wear on this baby has been insane.

I have this amazing skirt that I bought from a lingerie party once. It was hideously expensive at the time, but it’s been so worth it. It’s made out of this material that never crushes. Seriously, I can screw it up into a ball, throw it in a basket full of other clothes for a week, take it out, hang it in the bathroom while I take a shower, and it’s crease free. It’s also one of those styles that you can wear as a skirt or a dress and about a dozen different ways, and because it’s very stretchy, I can wear it all through my pregnancy as well.

I bought a knee length dark denim coat, lined with lamb skin. It’s huge, so thick it’s ridiculous, but it’s so beautiful and warm. It was about $300 years ago when I bought it, which at the time nearly gave me a heart attack. Still, I saved up and went back and bought it. I wore it every winter for about 3 or 4 years, but it’s been hiding at the back of my wardrobe for a few years now.
It was certainly worth it, and would be down to about a dollar per wear.
Maybe I should pull it out again? I could still get a few wears out of it this winter. And it would certainly surprise a few people on the train and at work!

I bought a pink-ish shirt dress 3 years ago. It was 1- one of my first day dresses, and 2 – about 25% of my salary at the time. I still wear it almost weekly. It’s perfect on me, it photographs well is comfy yet professional and fun and happy. Yay for good clothes
