Be your best self.

Oh Yeah and Hell No!

Oh Yeah and Hell No!
Carly Jacobs

Oh yeah…

* I leave for India in two weeks and my trip is perfectly book ended by weddings. November is going to be a beautiful month.

* Puppies! They’ve been everywhere in my suburb recently. I particularly like seeing them when I’m with Ben because he loses his shit! It’s adorable.

* Sunday brunch with girlfriends and a table at my favourite cafe which is normally packed. Win.

* Kale chips. Will post recipe pics this week. Seriously awesome.

* Being a wing woman for my single lady friends.

* Being utterly pummeled with writing work before my trip. Takes away the guilt of going overseas for two weeks which is always a challenge because being a freelancer, I don’t get any paid leave at all, so extra work to make up for it is awesome!

* Lovely emails from beautiful people.

* Bringing my man a surprise coffee and a gluten free cake one morning after my boot camp and taking them to him in bed. He rolled over sleepily and said ‘Are they even real?‘. Too cute.

Hell no…

* The bloody Formula 1. I’ve pretty much lost the use of my TV over the weekend.

* Vaccinations for overseas travel. They make me so tired and sore.

* Being utterly pummeled with writing work before my trip. On Friday I managed to get to the post office THREE MINUTES BEFORE IT CLOSED to get my visa application in. I’m a touch out of control at the moment.

What about you love? What are your weekly high lights and low lights?

I have SO MUCH KALE in the garden right now and you’ve reminded me to make something good and crunchy out of them so I don’t start hankering for the chocolate brownie that my husband so kindly made.

Oh Yeah: Finally having the courage to remove the bloke who sexually assaulted me and emotionally abused me for months from my life.
And making homemade apple pie in the kitchen of my new place.
Hell No: Being called a stupid crazy bitch by our mutual friends who don’t know the full story.

My highlight was showing my husband ALL of your vlogs last night and watching him laugh. You are beautiful and funny and hilarious and ZOMG HOMG HOLY HELL. We have a lot to talk about. Xxxxxx

PS ‘Are they even real?’ SO CUTE.

I completely empathise with the Formula 1 point – my man is an avid fan. On top of that, he’s since bought the Xbox game so when the race isn’t on “we” can watch him race. Which you know, is cute but a bit boring XD
