Is It Important To You To Use All Natural Skin Care Products?

I love all natural skin care products and I’m a sucker for anything that’s organic. I don’t even care that half the stuff that I buy has to be inconveniently kept in the fridge. I just get all romantic thinking about beauty products being lovingly mixed with fresh ingredients by women who smell like patchouli and do yoga at sunrise and have children called Rain.

On that note the team at Comvita (who I’m sure all have free range hens in their back yards) and I are in cahoots to bring you a giveaway of their delicious Manuka skin scare products including Hydrating Toning Mist, Moisturiser with SPF, Lip Treatment and Spa Body Wash. Just click below lovelies. You’ve got to be in it to win it! (Australia only)

And because I love to hear what you think, tell me…

Is it important to you to use natural products? Can your skin feel the difference?

P.S If you miss out on winning the comp you can buy the pack here on special for $99 (valued at $160).

Totally entered. My skin hates me all winter so it deserves some extra TLC in Summer. I love using organic skin care or home made scrubs. I would love to know Smaggle if you’ve made any home made organic lush treats for your body. I have done an egg/avocado/oliveoil and honey hair mask, a sea salt/course coffee beans/olive oil body scrub and a sorbelene/mint and lavender from the garden sleepy body moisturizer. Any thoughts on lush lovelies to make at home? I am the poorest uni student around so making treats for my body with whatever I can pinch from the parentals house at weekly dinner, is a real life saver 😉 Been reading all morning smags, keep up your brilliance. D xx

Yep, definitely important! But, I’m also a total tight-arse, and I’m very suspicious of ‘one-duty’ products. To that end, I use shampoo that is also my body and face wash, and a home-made hair conditioner that is also my toner. Moisturiser is a slap of coconut oil, that also does several other duties. The only non hippy-dippy organic item I concede to is deodorant. After several months of experimenting with tea tree oil, those crystal things and all manner of other lotions and potions, I went back to Dove. Sigh.

would be awesome if your posts specified up front who qualfies (i.e. not anyone outside Australia) so i don’t have to get all clicky.

But yes, the majority of my products are natural – deodorant is the exception, i didn’t have good results with natural ones!!

i’m a bit selective of what i like to be natural: which is everything except shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant. skincare, bodywash, body scrubs can come my way!

Sometimes I just can’t get clean enough with natural prods. But then I have curly hair we ladies need to use certain… scalp care products… and natural shampoos just don’t wash out properly.

I have used coconut oil on my body as a moisturiser for a while, and rosehip oil on my face. And just recently I have started using honey as a cleanser. Honey! And I think I kind of love it.

I’ve heard about this honey thing but I’m just too scared to rub is au naturel all over my face!

I think using natural skin care if very important. It’s all going into your body! My fave is Garden Girl http://www.gardengirlskincare.com. They have natural skin care for me, the kids and my husband. Sometimes I sneak and use his too!
