I buy myself a Christmas present every year. A friend of mine thought this was a bit odd but it’s the one time of year when I allow myself to buy something I wouldn’t normally spend the money on. It’s a treat yo self kind of situation. Here’s a few bits and pieces that have been bookmarked over the last few weeks in the Pretty Things For Me folder on my desktop.
Harper Ivory Sunglasses from Bailey Nelson ($95.00)
Diptyque candle in Gardenia from Mecca ($89.00)
Jungle Drums Kaftan from Charlie Brown ($299.00)
Qing Ring from Oroton ($105.00)
Stella Tote from Coco Kitten ($269.00)
Swedish Hasbeens from Swedish Hasbeens
Julia Deville Ring of Bones bracelet from Alice Euphemia ($380.00)
Mor Barcelona Train Case from David Jones ($54.00)
Lelo Smart Wand from Liberator ($144.00)
Tropicana Drape dress from Metalicus ($159.00)
Do you buy yourself Christmas presents? What’s on your list this year?
p.s This started out as a budget friendly gift guide for mother-in-laws but it turned into Expensive Things I Like instead. Whatever. TREAT YO SELF!

I do this. I also buy myself gifts for both Mother’s Day AND Father’s Day. I’m a single mum, no one else is going to spoil me. Except my kid, presumably when he’s a bit older (and presuming he knows what’s good for him). I just went nuts during the Black Friday sales. A lot of dresses were involved. They won’t be going under the tree, but they’re my Christmas presents to myself!

Good on you! I buy myself presents all the time and I don’t even have kids! Wait… that’s probably why…

I am very pro treat yo self Christmas. I’m kind of on a fitted sweaters in an cute/obnoxious print worn with “tougher” other things like leather jackets, skinny jeans, and combat boots (all black errythang) kick right now so one of my wishlist items is this Banana Republic cashmere number: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/272749321156351657/ Also finally jumped on the BlackMilk train and these would be lovely as my next purchase: http://blackmilkclothing.com/collections/leggings/products/new-slicks-leggings
And then completely unrealistic and WAY out of my budget, but I’d love a tread-climber.That bones bracelet is understated awesomeness.

I second both of those choices. What’s a tread-climber? Is like an eliptical machine? The bracelet is made by a chick who went to jewellery school. Her stuff is so rad.

I’ll probably botch this description, but a tread climber is like an eliptical and a treadmill combined. It looks like a treadmill that has been cut in half, each foot moving on it’s own band. And each of those mini-treadmills raise and lower the incline one by one. It’s said to burn more calories than elipticals, treadmills, or stairclimbers.
