I’m joining in the fun with Meet Me at Mike’s and Styling You and doing a 2014 so far list. I think it’s nice to reflect on how you’re doing so far this year, because January is usually such a shit fight that people forget all together that we’re in a whole new year. Let’s take a moment to take stock shall we?
2014 so far…
Making: Progress. I’ve been working on an update for Smaggle for AGES and it’s nearly ready.
Cooking: Lovely summer dinners with meat and salad… also lots of eggs for breakfast.
Drinking: Way more than I should… and I just got a case of Pepper Jack Shiraz delivered to my house. Oops.
Reading: The Mystery of Mercy Close. The last Walsh Sisters book by Marian Keyes. That woman cracks me up.
Wanting: Honestly? A Roomba... and I’ll totally turn it into a DJ Roomba.
Looking: Forward to a family wedding this year. I love weddings and last year I only got invited to one wedding so I’m looking forward to popping my dancing shoes back on this year.
Playing: Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey. I love to belt this out in the shower in the morning.
Deciding: What to cook for dinner this weekend. Mr Smaggle is having a working weekend with his business partners and I’m cooking for them all on Saturday night. Any suggestions?
Wishing: For 2014 to be as awesome as 2013.
Enjoying: An impromptu trip to Singapore with Mr Smaggle. There’s nothing like a mini-break with your beloved to remind you of how rad they are.
Waiting: For packages to be delivered. So impatient. I have a jumbo tube of Pore-fessional on it’s way and I can’t wait any longer!
Liking: Community. I’ve just started watching it and it’s and the perfect replacement as I wait for new episodes of Parks and Rec.
Wondering: Where the hell all my hairbands and bobby pins go.
Loving: Freelance life. I can go for runs at lunch time and watch shit TV on my breaks. Love it.
Pondering: Which healthy eating plan to try next. I finish my 12WBT next week and I want to try something a little more hardcore for a month in February. Any suggestions?
Considering: Signing up for bootcamp again. Exercising 6 times a week has done wonders for me and I want to continue doing it.
Watching: Ghost Whisperer. Sad but true. I have it as my background noise when I’m writing.
Hoping: That friends going through hard times catch breaks soon.
Marvelling: At planes. Planes are so amazing. They fly. It’s mental.
Needing: To buy more bras and underwear but hating everything I find.
Smelling: My fresh bed sheets. So delicious.
Wearing: A purple ruffled Anthropologie dress for an afternoon of deadline writing and tea drinking.
Following: @Ukipweather. It’s an hilarious spoof twitter account that someone set up after a UKIP councillor blamed recent floods on the UK’s decision to legalise gay marriage. Very funny.
Noticing: That much fewer glasses of wine are required to give me a hangover these days. I think I’m officially old.
Knowing: Johnny Depp is engaged and I’m heart broken for the second time.
Thinking: About jumping on the treadmill although I’m really not in the mood for it today.
Feeling: Relaxed and rejuvenated after a mini break.
Admiring: Religion clothing. New favourite.
Sorting: Everything. We had a massive clean up just after new year and our house has been spotless ever since.
Buying: Sha-de wrap cardigans. I bought one at the Abbotsford Convent markets and I’ve worn it almost every day since then. I’m totally buying another one.
Getting: Excited about plans for 2014.
Bookmarking: Pictures of awesome leather boots. My favourite brown ones died last year and I’m on a serious hunt for new ones.
Disliking: My sleep patterns. I’ve been OS in the last week and I’m all out of whack.
Opening: A blue Powerade Zero to rehydrate after having one too many ciders last night with my bestie.
Giggling: At this. Hilarious.
Here’s the list so you can play along in the comments or on your own blogs.

Some of my friends have been doing Whole30 with amazing results – cuts bloating, digestion distress and one of their boyfriends has even been able to cut down on his insulin. Everyone’s lost weight on it, but it’s a secondary benefit 🙂

I am currently 2/3 of the way through Whole 30. As someone whose main food group is chocolate. If I can do it anyone can. It’s only 30 days but some of my nasty pcos symptoms have already started to clear up.

Good on you! I heard it’s amazing for PCOS and also auto immune diseases. I don’t have any issues just general tiredness but apparently it really helps with that too!

Liar! Weight loss is always primary benefit! I’m thinking seriously about doing it actually – I have 1 party planned in Feb but if I take one day off surely it won’t hurt??? Just the one day though! 🙂

What a great idea! Totally stealing.
I really like Community, which has led me to Parks and Rec but I haven’t watched much yet. Hope you enjoy it! I’m also a huge fan of daggy old shows as background noise while working – might be time to give Gilmore Girls another spin…

Parks and Rec is the best. Leslie Knope is my imaginary best friend. You need to make Parks and Rec. You won’t regret it. I did Gilmore Girls when I was in jewellery school… best thing ever to polish too!

I’m in love Community. And Abed. Or Brown Jamie Lee Curtis as they call him.

This sounded like fun. I don’t know if it’s a monthly occurrence, but I think I’m gonna steal it and totally make it one.

No not monthly just a random January update! Make sure you link back to Meet Me At Mike’s – I’m pretty sure she’s the original source! Definitely do a monthly update that would be great! xxx

WTF? I’ve been obsessing over Steve Perry’s voice for the last couple of weeks. Sure you’re not my twin?
