Quick and Easy 4 Ingredient Rocky Road

Quick and Easy 4 Ingredient Rocky Road

I’m always looking for easy treat recipes that I can take to parties. I’m interstate in Canberra this week and needed to make a little something to take to a baby shower and Mama Smaggle shared this little recipe gem with me.

Quick and Easy 4 Ingredient Rocky Road

It’s dead easy.

What You Need

2 x 250gm blocks of milk chocolate

3 x Cadbury Turkish Delight bars

1 packet of marshmallows (I only used the white ones because Mama Smaggle only uses the white ones but you can be a rule breaker and use both if you like)

1 cup of unsalted peanuts

What You Do

1. Chop the marshmallows into quarters with scissors and dice the Turkish Delight bars.

2. Break chocolate blocks into small pieces and melt either on the stove or the microwave. When it comes to melting chocolate patience is a virtue. Take it slow or you’ll burn it and be very sad.

3. Once the chocolate is melted, mix all the ingredients together (carefully to separate the marshmallows – they’re sticky little suckers) and press it out flat on a piece of baking paper.

rockyknife4. Once it’s hard, pop in the fridge for about 20 minutes and then leave it on the bench for a minutes. It makes it easier to cut if it’s not super cold!

5. Chop it into rough squares and pop it in a tin.

You can also replace the milk chocolate for dark chocolate and the unsalted peanuts for salted peanuts and make a truly decadent adult version.

Easy peasy!

Hello Mrs Smaggle, I’m new here – a crossover from SY. Had a lovely Sat avo reading and chuckling over your old posts. And today, only one of my favourite things in the whole wide world, rocky road!!! Ps there was a lot of nodding along and tut tutting at the floordrobe post. Clothes should only ever be found in the wardrobe, laundry basket or clothesline, or on the airing hanger (STRICTLY overnight only) if you can get another wear out of them. Sadly, I am the only one in the family who feels this way:(

Hello and welcome! Any reader of Nikki is super welcome here! Glad you liked the floordrobe post… if you makes you feel any better you can totally train people to hate the floordrobe! I used to have one and then I totally changed when I moved out of home. πŸ™‚

I love making rocky road. I make mine with mini marshmallows and put cut up gummi worms in place of the turkish delight. Delicious!

Oh my lord! Why have I never thought of cutting up marshmallows with scissors before! I always do it with a knife and it takes ages. I think you’ve just changed my life πŸ™‚

I probably did. Also if you run them under hot water every now then it’s even easier!

Just finished making this as my dad and I had a craving for something sweet (I wonder where I get it from). Such a good recipe and so quick to make! Definitely making it again. The Turkish delight chocolate bars are amazing in it. Thanks! πŸ™‚

My dad is a fiend for Turkish Delight so we add it to almost all baked goods… and I always buy an extra Turkish Delight bar for him to eat!

I LOVE Mars Bar slice. It’s a little bit too easy to eat though… way too light and fluffy!

At Christmas, rocky road is nice with crushed up Candy canes. I only EVER use mini marshmallows, no cutting – even easier!!! Also use cut up snakes
