I bought this wrap cardigan thing from Alistair Trung because it was on crazy sale and when I tried it on Alistair Trung himself was in the store. He told me I was ‘sensual like a flower.‘ and I was like ‘SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!’.
Shopping List
- Ponti PantsΒ from Metalicus
- Frye Veronica’s from Amazon
- Dress from Coles Mix Apparel
- Vest wrap thing from Alistair TrungΒ
- Sunglasses from RandolphΒ
- Wallet from Nancy BirdΒ
This outfit was worn for a stroll around Fitzroy, grabbing coffee at Placeholder, lunch at El Chino, having a cheeky glass of wine in the afternoon at Enoteca with a friend and then a read through of a fringe festival play that I’m in this September. It was a day that was postively brimming with wholesome fuckery.
Tip of the day: Wear that gorgeous sparkly top, that super expensive dress or those really fancy shoes that you’re ‘saving for good’. Just wear it today. Do it. I dare you.

I tried it on and then I couldn’t think about anything else so I had to go back and get it. It’s got all these buttons and loops so I can mix it around and wear it all these different ways. One might say it’s a timeless investment piece. π

That vest/wrap is phenomenal, love it! I’m also a fan of the coles dress you’re wearing – why have I never seen these clothes for sale at Coles?! Everyone goes on about how good they are, but nope, not in any of the Coles I’ve been to!
How good is the coffee at Placeholder?! Love it. How I’ve never bumped into you there (or anywhere else in our tiny suburb) remains a mystery.-

They tend to sell the clothes at outer suburb Coles – I bought this at Coles in Bundoora when I was visiting a friend. They’ve got great stuff, definitely worth the drive. I freaking love Placeholder although they’re opening a new one in South Yarra so they won’t be around much anymore!

Thank you! It was just one of those things that I was like ‘Hmmm. If I buy this, it’s going to fit me forever (it’s wrap) and it’s so versatile.’ Very happy with this purchase!

First of all… AAAAHHHHOOOOHHHHHGGGGAAAAA! You’re so hot I’d burn my finger if I touched you. Love that outfit! Secondly, far out man we are in sync at the mo – today I am wearing a pair of sequin pants that I’ve had sitting in my wardrobe for a couple of months – for the very first time. To work. And you know what? I thought, fuck it. I’m going to wear these sequin pants even though it’s Tuesday and I’m only going to work… And no one has said a damn thing about them. Clearly I have taken corporate wear to a whole different level around these parts.

It must just be the day for it! I love dressing up just to work at home. I swear it makes me a million times more productive!

You have to buy those items that sing to the soul, I say. There is nothing worse than umming and ahhing, heading back to the shop, only to find it is no longer available. My most vivid memory, from my one and only visit to Paris, is that I did not buy a coat that I fell in love with. And as that was some 16 years ago, I somehow doubt they still have it in stock.

Oh no! I hate that! Mr Smags has that with a Hugo Boss coat and I have that with a pair of boots I found in London. Sad face.

I know right? I was like ‘are you kidding me?’ and Mr Smaggle was standing right there and he was equally as charmed by him. What a guy.

Amazing cardigan, you look great in it!
Maybe I’ll follow your advice tomorrow, I think it will make this gloomy week better π-

Do it! Clothes are meant to be worn and if you leave them in their cupboard they won’t be fulfilling their fashion destiny!

That wrap thingy was positively made for you! I totally let my fashion game drop when I work from home. I’m going to dress up today instead xx

Good girl! Do you at least do your hair every day? Just curious.

I bought a sass and bide cape. Yes, a cape. Silver sequinned top part, flowy and blowy bottom part. And looked at it in my wardrobe. Then I made a decision to start wearing my beautiful clothes to work. I now have a sequined bomber jacket on regular rotation with corporate bottoms, the cape comes out at least once a season and I regularly mix in some gold and glitz.
But that first day, when I was in a meeting and just got too hot and took the jacket off, leaving the cape – will never forget people’s faces. It was awesome.

It does look amazing on you. Good purchase.
I don’t actually have “for good” clothes. My clothes are very SAHMish and boring.
Need to change that.I want to be sensual like a flower…

Some people are born sensual like flowers, some become sensual like flowers and some have flower like sensuality thrust upon them. π It’s probably his standard line. I should start a facebook campaign trying to see how many other people he’s said it too! Also try Metalicus… there stuff feels like tracksuit pants but looks very respectable. Perfect for stay at home mums. x
