It’s a rather special day here in the Smaggle haus. As of lunch time today, I will have officially been blogging for 7 whole years. I hit publish on my first article ever on the 9th September 2007. It was a super boring and speculation filled post about Zara coming to Australia which didn’t end up happening for another four years. If I had of known I’d end up writing a sentimental blog post about it someday, I would have written about something heaps cooler but you know, such is life.
On that note, it’s time for my annual thank you:

No ice or lemon or any other additives. Just chill the champagne -fridge, bucket, out in the snow, whatevs- and pour in onto a champagne glass. Then just pour the gin in… you don’t need a lot but don’t be stingy. I just pour little by little until I’m loving it. Sorry, no recipe and no measurements- just pure alcoholic goodness

How did your parents meet? – Were introduced by friends. Better story are my grandparents: They met during WWII while studying medicine “an der Leiche”, so at the dissection table “at the corpse”. My grandmother was only about 1.47 meters so she needed a stool to stand on to see everything. And she cried a lot due to homesickness and looked probably quite unhappy, that’s how my grandfather noticed her. And set to cheer her up. : )
