Napolean Perdis The One

the_one_concealer_1

I went to an event hosted by Zoe Foster about a week ago and I swear, if that girl tells me to buy something I’m whipping out my credit card faster than Kim Kardashian at a Juicy Couture sale. Zoe uses this stuff as an under eye colour corrector – it basically neutralises the dark circles under your eyes and then you conceal over the top. I haven’t bought this yet but it’s on my pay day wish list. Where Zofo leads, I will follow. Oh and get the peachy shade – she swears it’s perfect for everyone.

Heston Blumenthal At Home

Heston2_01_WEB_4

Now I must preface this item with a disclaimer. I think Heston Blumenthal is a wanker of the most supreme order but I can’t deny the fact that the man is a genius. I actually already own this book but I just ordered two more copies for gifts. It’s so brilliant. Full of restaurant quality side dishes, mains, snacks and fancy little desserts. All of his recipes are very precise which means it’s almost impossible to stuff them up. There’s a few TO DIE FOR flavoured popcorn recipes that alone make this book totally worth it.

Preston Handbag From Fossil

fossil

I was at a conference last week and one of my mates had this neat little cross body bag AS HER ACTUAL EVERY DAY HANDBAG!!! She’s on a mission to downsize and I want to jump on and ride that minimalist pony. I either carry a HUGE handbag everywhere or I tuck my keys, lip gloss and phone in my wallet and carry it in my hand. I’m in desperate need of an in-between sized bag  and this little orangey-red number is totally winking at me…. saucy little minx.

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons

lipcrayon

I’m having a big moment in lip stains and crayons right now. Sometimes lipstick is a bit thick and drying for me so I’ve switched to stains and they work beautifully under lip gloss. I’ve been a fan of Bourjois products for years (reasonably priced, super cute packaging and decent prods) so I’m going to stock my online shopping cart with a few of these when it hits pay day. I love shopping at Priceline online because I can read reviews of products and not have to wait in a giant queue.

Mio Strapless Heart Rate Monitor

heart rate monitor

My beloved Sunto heart rate monitor bit the dust a few weeks so I’m currently borrowing Mr Smaggle’s LED heart rate monitor and it’s amazing. You don’t need a strap around your chest, it uses LED light to measure your pulse. FITNESS TECHNOLOGY! Also if you don’t have a Fitbit One get one immediately. They sell them at Rebel Sport now, I just noticed. I’m so incredibly into fitness tracking devices and I can’t recommend them enough.

Deep Ocean Duvet Cover

duvet

We’re in need of a second doona cover because my once-white one is now kind of tea coloured and I seriously lost it when I saw these. I’d pretty much take any of them but especially this ocean blue one.

$155 from Nature City

Spring Linen Dress

dress

I’m getting weirder and weirder about sun damage as I get older so I’m stocking up on long sleeve summer dresses to protect the old dermis situation on sunny days. I thought this was adorable.

So I was (somehow) not aware of Modcloth before today and I’m seriously tempted to drop a whole paycheck on their dresses. Not sure whether to thank you or send you the bill…. 😉

I love the cross body bag. Now my kids are older and Im forcing them to carry their own bloody water bottles & various assorted crap, I too am downsizing bags (my poor destroyed shoulder).
Crossbody bags are the absolute premium in my opinion. I also LOVE the leather backpacks from Hobo bags. Just gorgeous.
That modcloth dress is stunning too. Its so simple.
As for cookbooks, Im holding out for Donna Hays new Easy cookbook due to be released early October. Yummo!!

Cover up- sure. But make sure you get some vitamin d (or have your levels checked).

I am on the bourjois lip gloss bandwagon.

Might have to try the Napoleon stuff x

I do have to get my vitamin d levels checked acually thanks for the reminder!

The napoleon the one concealer is the bomb-dot-com! They recently came out with a lighter version of it, because if you’re super pale like me you have to mix the original shade in with concealer to help it blend better. Seriously makes your eyes look like bright laser beams.

Love that linen dress! Reminds me of the beautiful linen smocks at that lovely shop on Gertrude St that are on my wish list.

I just bought myself a new hand-loomed wool/silk blanket when I put my latest stock order in. It’s my third one but it’s cream and beige with gold thread. I can’t help it. I am a self-confessed textile junkie and I need help. I’m also in love with the new Adairs linen sheets sets/doona covers but will have to hope Santa is kind to me xx
