Smaggle Blogonomics in Canberra
I’ve been blogging for 7 years (2 years full time) and I’m heading back to where it all began in Canberra (the orginal Smaggle city) to teach a Blogonomics Workshop at The Maker’s Hub. I’ll be teaching my students how to increase blog traffic, how to create a media kit, how to convince advertisers of your value and how to monetise your blog through several different income streams.ย I’ve already had some amazing Canberra bloggers sign up so it’ll be a great way to network with other bloggers. F.R.I.E.N.D.S Trivia Night
My mate Sarah and I figured out that it’s been 20 years since the first episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S aired and we thought we’d put on a trivia night for those Central Perk buffs out there. Here are the details.
Where – Honey Bar, South Melbourne
When – Thursday October 30th from 7pm to 11pm
How much – $10 (all proceeds go to the Waratah Special School Bus Fund)
There’s also some mad prizes we’re raffling off (including a package that’s on it’s way to me from L’oreal! Yeah!) and there’ll be prizes for the winning teams too. I so wish someone else decided to do this but then it would be truly unfair for me to compete in a F.R.I.E.N.D.S trivia night because I would just wipe the floor with everyone. Grab a team or come solo, just make sure you book ASAP so we can confirm the venue.

Big month for Carly – good luck with all your projects. Would love to come to friends trivia. So disappointed right now that I don’t live in Melbourne. My kids were teens when the show aired – so right in the zone for that type of humour. We have the 10 seasons on DVD and have watched countless times, especially when feeling blue and in need of a laugh. Someone in the family is always coming out with a quote. My team would be “we fogged his yeti ass”. I am def going to plan a holiday in Melb soon (will be my first time) so going to need recommendations for places to eat and shop – oh also places of cultural significance, of course. Xx

Ooooh, I’m so steamed that the FRIENDS night is on a Thursday. I have to work the next day, and were it not for that I would be there in a second. I am a massive FRIENDS nerd and I would have such a blast at your trivia night.
Oh, and I’d call my team Crap Bag.
