5 Super Quick Workouts For Super Busy People

In February I started a challenge where I had to exercise every day for just 20 minutes (#20minutesaday). I read somewhere that Kate Hudson exercises this way and her figure is FAB so I had to give it a try. It was actually awesome. I lost 2 kilos over the month and all my clothes started fitting better. It was very managable – I just needed to truly commit to it and make time every day to get those 20 minutes in. Sometimes I had to squeeze in workouts in hotel rooms but I managed to go the whole month without skipping a day. Although I’m very excited to not have to exercise on weekends anymore I do miss the routine and generally feeling of awesome I got from working out every day and I thought I’d pop together a list of 5 super quick workouts for super busy people. Any of these would be great – just do a few circuits until you reach 20 minutes!

Started in January – 20 squats 20 plié squats 2 x minutes plank, every day except Sunday. In Feb my massage therapist asked what was I doing because my muscles were really tight (not it a good way). I told her my new daily routine. Then she asked if I was stretching afterwards. I was not. Everyone probably already knows this, but she told me if you don’t stretch, your muscles will get short and tight. I immediately started doing a couple of simple stretches and at this week’s visit, she gave me a gold star, for listening to her and doing what she advised. Never too old to learn new stuff. Yay for the 2 kg Carly – excellent achievement in only a month. Xx

I do a 15 minute workout called the Basic Workout Plus by http://www.t-tapp.com . It’s non-impact and leaves my body in alignment and me feeling good for the next 36 hours. When I do the 15 minute workout three or four times a week, I lose inches. When I went to my water class after only doing t-tapp’s BWO+ (basic workout plus) for a few weeks, the instructor gasped at my progress. It works. 🙂

It’s quite amazing how some of this high intensity, interval training can be so effective in such short bursts. I’ve been doing CrossFit for 12 months which is basically exactly that (but on steroids!!).

Very nice set of workouts mentioned here for busy people.
My favourite from this list is one song workout. It really feels good to complete this one song workout every morning before going to work.
    Cheers
