ou may have seen a little bit of chatter about this on the old Facebook but Straight and Curly – the podcast I co-host with my lovely friend Kelly Exeter from A Life Less Frantic – is officially launched.

What is Straight and Curly all about? It’s a podcast for self improvement junkies. Basically Kelly and I test any and all self improvement fads and movements and then we tell you whether or not it’s awesome or a total waste of time. Why is it called Straight and Curly? Because Kelly is super straight and by-the-book and I’m a bit curly and kooky.

In our first episode we tackle the concept of gratitude journals, whether or not they work and whether or not we think you should start one.

If you don’t know how to listen to podcasts don’t fret – here are a few tips.

iPhone users

Open up the podcast app on your phone (it already lives there so you don’t need to download it) and search for Straight and Curly. Then hit subscribe and you’re good to go.

Android users

The same as iPhone user but you just use the Android podcast app.

Desktop users

You can listen to it while you work at your computer – just click this link here. https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/straight-and-curly/id1073392563?mt=2

I’ve also popped it below for you if you want to listen to it here.

Also if you like the show, we’d love you to leave a review – I think it’s good when people leave reviews? I don’t know I’m such a rookie to this new-fangled podcasting biz. We’ve already made it into the New and Noteworthy (again I assume this is good!) section of iTunes and the support from our readers so far has been incredible. If you’re a long term reader of Smaggle, I’d love for you to become a listener. Just a warning though – I said ‘shit’ in one of the episodes already so technically we’re ‘explicit’. Whatever iTunes… you don’t even know me.

If you do listen to the podcast and want to chat about it you can tweet us @smaggle and @kellyexeter and use the hashtag #straightandcurly.

Are you podcast person? Have you tried using a gratitude journal? How did you find it?

Research has shown that people who subscribe to the Smaggle newsletter and like Smags on Facebook are, on average at least 32% better looking than people who don’t. You can’t argue with questionable science like that.
