I Have Something Very Exciting To Tell You

his is a pretty big day for me. I’ve been blogging for 9 years so I’m not used to working on something for longer than, say a week. This suits me fine because I have a rather… varied… attention span so I like to work on lots of things at once. I also like to get things done so if a task is only going to take me a day, I’m all over it. This is probably why I’m best at short-form writing and why I’ve never started writing a book. I don’t quite know how I’d cope working on the same piece of writing for over a year and honestly I don’t have much desire to do that. I like short, sharp activities and doing different things every day. It’s my jam.

So the thing I have to tell you is…

Crochet Coach is officially on pre-sale. I’ve been working on this all year and I’m so excited that it’s finally ready. Websites are illusive little buggers. They look so simple but creating them is like doing a puzzle except you don’t know how many puzzle pieces you have and some dick head has taken off with the box so you don’t know what picture you’re supposed to be making. It’s all in working order now but it took many, many pieces of late night toast, cups of tea and hours spent copying and pasting tiny pieces of code to get a box to move one pixel to the left. One damn pixel. Actually I think I medicated that problem with wine so it all worked out in the end.

The full launch for Crochet Coach is on Thursday 20th October but I wanted to offer my Smaggle readers a special early coupon code because you’re my favourites. Also, many of you have been asking about crochet since I started doing it many years ago and I’m so excited to turn all of you into awesome crocheters.

If you buy your subscription today you get…

Access to the Crochet Coach community group

An exclusive live online lesson for the Origami Shoulder Cosy (pictured above) at 11am Sunday 9th October

365 days of access to Crochet Coach for the one time pre-launch price of $39 (usually $89)

All you have to do is visit Crochet Coach and sign up. Also if you don’t think you can learn to crochet, I call bollocks on that. Everyone can learn and I’m confident I can teach you.  So if you want to be the most amazing gift giver, calmest human and awesome hobby-haver, you need to join me in my crochet castle. It’s lovely in here, I promise!

The offer is only valid until midnight 30th September so be quick. It will actually never, ever be that cheap again because I personally hate it when I pay full price for a course and then see it discounted a week later. So not cool. I’d never do that to you. Promise.

Oh and the coupon code EARLYBIRDEVERYTHING. Use it or lose it.

Amazing Carly! I’ve joined up. You sold me with your answer to the question “Can’t I just learn this on YouTube?” (which was my first thought to be honest, so I’m glad you brought it up).

Today I saw these slippers: http://www.boredpanda.com/rocking-around-the-house-with-crocodile-stitch-slippers/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=BPFacebook

And I just HAVE to make them for next winter now, but I know I need to amp up my crochet skills before I can do that. So hopefully you can help with that 🙂

    Congratulations!

Cool! I used to crochet as a child and enjoyed it but I can’t remember how to do it. I’m hoping it can be something to stop me eating on auto-pilot. I’ve signed up!

So exciting, I’ve signed up too. I can knit but Crochet seems to be completely escaping me. Love the poncho! Looking forward to building my skills and making one for me!

Congratulations! This is such a rad idea. I’m an avid crochet-and-knit fiend and I’m psyched.
