The 5 Best Apps To Turn You Into Productivity Ninja

The 5 Best Apps To Turn You Into Productivity Ninja
I

don’t need to tell you guys what a massive app junkie I am. I use apps for almost everything. Tracking things, reminding me to do things, helping me get to sleep. I get quite panicked when my phone is flat because I won’t remember what to buy at the shops without my shopping list app or fall asleep without my rainforest sounds app. The problem with finding good apps is that there are so many of them out there and weeding through the crap is really time consuming. So I put together a list of a few I’ve used and some others I’ve heard great things about so you don’t have to try them all out yourself.

best apps

Sorted

This is a bit of a next level organisation list app where you can switch your tasks around on different days. It’s perfect for people who have lots on and sometimes don’t complete their to-do list in one day, so it’s like a less annoying version of bullet journaling. You can also make tasks repeat on certain days and it syncs with the cloud as well. Bonza.

Clear

This is by no means a new app but it’s one of the simplest and easy to use to do apps around. I use it every day for grocery lists and packing lists. It’s so satisfying ticking things off because they make these little ascending musical sounds. Gives me a real sense of accomplishment.

Timepage

I know I never shut up about Timepage but I just love it so much. It’s totally uncluttered, really intuitive and the team (Including Mr Smaggle!) make constant updates so it always runs smoothly. It’s something you don’t really notice. Most apps are quite glitchy and I really appreciate it when app development companies prioritise the user experience. I’m currently using an app that’s quite expensive (I won’t name names just yet) but their customer support sucks. I really appreciate it when developers care about their customers.

Carrot

This one is great if you like a little bit of tough love. It tells you when you’re being a bit shit and kicks you up the bum. Plus it’s funny – lots of productivity apps are a bit dry so this one is quite refreshing. Carrot also have a weight loss version but you need to have a pretty thick skin to deal with that on – not everyone can cope with an app calling them a lard ass when they gain a kilo.

Streaks

This one is brilliant for forming habits. You can add things you want to do every day like exercise, drink water, meditate and you just tick off what you do every day. It’s such a great way to keep track of positive changes.

What are your favourite productivity apps? Which ones do you use every day?
