t the beginning of each month, I like to have a look at the previous month and focus on areas where I was a bit shit. I was okay in March – I stuck to all of my challenges which was great and I hardly drank alcohol at all because I was so busy. However there was lots of travel which led to a little bit of lazy-ness in the food and exercise department. April is set to be a busy month so I’m concentrating on manageable health and fitness, while travelling and working on several different projects. Here are 3 ways to get your shit together in April… you in?
Take it easy over Easter
I generally relax a bit on long weekends but I just got back from Bali (hello noodles and Bintang!) so I’m going to concentrate on making good choices over Easter which means being sensible wherever I can and staying on top of my exercise. Join me for going easy over Easter?
Exercise for 20 minutes every single day
This is a repeat from February but part of self improvement is acknowledging when something works for you. #20minutesaday was brilliant for me. I lost weight, I felt great and it totally improved my mood everyday. I’m going to actually post my exercise every day on Instagram too. Join me for #20minutesaday in April?
Be grateful
I started a gratitude journal when I was in Bali last week on a recommendation from Hair Romance and I’m loving it. It’s a brilliant way to put my super privileged life into perspective, particularly if I feel like I’m having a bit of a bullshit day. I think it’s a lovely thing to do so every day I’ll be doing an #everydaygrateful post on Instagram in April. Join me?

Yep. I have to be a tad more consister with that old chestnut exercise! And I have a gratitude journal, but I never write in it, I think I will have to dig it out. I did the #100HappyDays challenge on Instagram last year, and was thinking of a repeat performance. It really made me enjoy the moment and look for the good stuff. I reckon with my gratitude journal and 100 Happy Days, I’ll be all over April!

20 minutes is the perfect amount of workout! It keeps me focused and I just get it done. Something about doing it everyDAMNday just helps stop excuses for me.
It’s boring but I really need to sort of my kitchen cupboards and do a restock…..domestic freaking goddess.-

I’m cutting out alcohol in april, keeping a detailed list of my expenditures and riding my bike to work at least 3 times a week. That’s my list for the month!

Well done you! I’m cutting out alchol until the end of May unless I’m in Sydney (I have 2 events there so I can have wine after those events!) I’m doing every second month alcohol free this year! So far so good!

I used to have a gratitude journal but now do sentance a day which i love. I’m onto my second year and the prompts really make you think and its so cool to look back on a year ago to see what I wrote for each prompt. So much can change in a year!
April for me will be about maintaining the momentum I’ve got going with my Yoga and running. Fingers crossed I can keep it up! xx

Maintaing momentum is so important! I’m going hard/easy month about this year. No alcohol and #20minutes a day every second month.

I was given a gratitude journal back when I was still in school and like a typical, too-cool-for-school teenager, hardly ever wrote in it! It’s so easy to get caught up in the negatives and forget about the good stuff, so a journal is a great way to keep it fresh in your mind!
