* Shoes from Trenery – these are my favourite ballet flats brand because there’s never toe cleavage. Toe cleavage makes me feel dirty. * Dress from a cheapie store in Moonee Ponds – last seen here in February 2010 worn the exact same two necklaces and very similar earrings. Weird. * Coin necklace from my grandfather * Wheelie Bin necklace by Tae Schmeisser * Silver hoop earrings from India * Sunglasses are Fiorelli from Myer * Sheer cardigan from eBay * Waist tie from a Metalicus dress *
Secret Ingredients
Experiment With Textures When Wearing All Black
I tried this dress with a solid knit cardigan and it was all too heavy. By adding a sheer cropped cardigan it added more light and shade to the ensemble and made me look slightly less Amish.
Wear A Matching Belt
This stretchy waist tie is from a Metalicus dress but I wear it almost every day. It’s perfect for adding a little bit of waist definition if one of my dresses is a little bit shapeless and I also use it to turn button cardigans into wrap cardigans. By wearing a belt or waist tie in the same colour as your dress it adds polish to your look with the added bonus of flattering monochroming.
Break Up All Black Ensembles With Accessories
Whenever I wear a totally black outfit, I make sure that I wear a long necklace so there’s something to draw the eye away from the sea of black. Just a little splash of silver to break up the monotony and it makes me look less like I’m wearing some sort of weird uniform.
This outfit was worn for a Sunday of bedside table cleaning, coffee getting, egg hard boiling, vlog writing and hanging out with my bestie and practicing our Chicago accents for the play we’re rehearsing. Melbourne peeps stay tuned!
How do you spend your Sundays? And more importantly what do you wear?

I had to give you a round of applause for mix-and-matching that waist tie. So many people never think to swap their belts and waist-ties around. You can wear them with outfits other than the one they came with! I know, right? What a revelation!
I spend my Sundays baking, reading and crocheting like a nana. I usually wear jeans and jumpers for this task, or floaty dresses in the summer.
