I’ve had this dress from Sha-de for a few months now and I freaking love it. It’s so comfortable (it’s like being wrapped in a silky cloud of deliciousness) but because I wear it so often it’s turned into a casual dress very quickly… if you’ve got a pile of not quite dressy enough dresses that you’d like to style up here’s how to make a casual dress look fancy.

Style Notes On How To Make A Casual Dress Look More Fancy
* Obviously add fancy shoes. This works with almost all dresses but DOESN’T work with tracksuit pants. You heard it here first.
* Keep it simple – too much jewellery will over power a casual dress. Like wearing diamonds with overalls.
* Hire a limo and start flinging caviar at everyone you meet.

Ooh I love navy and white, especially stripes. You look very fetching Carly. Definitely add heels and a clutch to fancy up a casual dress. If it’s cool, a smart jacket also does wonders. And of course a stylish pair of sunnies. X

Heels are definitely a winner to dress up an outfit. I also like adding a fancy looking belt and a cropped satin blazer – I have one from Cue and it’s amazing what that little black blazer can do!

i beg to differ some track pants certainly can be dressed up with a statement heel and a blazer, not a look for everyday not a look for everyone but on a day you want to push the fashionista boundaries it’s brilliant
