Have You Ever Cheated?

by Carly Jacobs
The results of the Have You Ever Stolen Something Survey are currently being made into a very pretty graph but while you’re waiting, here’s this weeks survey, Have You Ever Cheated? For the purposes of this survey, please consider that ‘cheating’ means sex. It does not include texting, sexting, emotional unfatihfulness and PG physical acts like kissing, but lets include things like blowjobs Read the rest!

Have You Ever Had a Brazilian Wax?

by Carly Jacobs
This question was presented to myself and a group of girlfriends at a hen’s night over the weekend. A friend of mine, who has recently turned thirty, has a theory that Brazilian waxes are a generational phenomonen. She works with several 20-something women, who revealed that they have regular Brazilian waxes and that they book these appointments, like clockwork, along with their hair appointments, every six Read the rest!

Do You Sleep in The Nude?

by Carly Jacobs
I’m not asking this to be pervy. That was a lie. I’m always a little bit pervy but, I’m also genuinely curious. Do you like to sleep nude? I HATE to sleep in the nude. I hate it. I don’t hate being nude. Not at all. I’m all for post coital lounging in my birthday suit. I’d do it for hours. Preferably followed by more coitus. However, when it comes to the act of sleeping, I must Read the rest!

The Secrets of the PostSecret App Trailer

by Carly Jacobs
I’m currently packing (really, really badly) for my trip to New York but I had to take a quick break to share this trailer with you. The trailer was produced by Ben, my partner, for the app that he and his company made for PostSecret. I’m a bit proud. Here are a few things to watch out for. * The guy that takes the photo of the door is our friend Sam. You can see him here at my 1000th post party. * The Read the rest!

What makes a bad photo bad? For you?

by Carly Jacobs
Yesterday, one of my friends asked my permission to post this photo to my Facebook wall. She loved it, but was worried that I wouldn’t. I told her it was fine and to go ahead. You know why? Because I don’t look fat. It doesn’t matter that my eyes are closed or my head’s at a funny angle or that I look like a zombie as one my friends sweetly pointed out. I don’t look fat and the Read the rest!

Do You Believe in Ghosts? My Spiritual Encounter with a Passed Friend.

by Carly Jacobs
I’ve recently started watching The X-Files, because I was too chicken shit to watch it when I was a kid. It’s every kind of awesome. I feel that I relate more to Scully than Mulder, but that’s because I’m exceedingly practical, almost to a fault. I love reading about ghostly encounters, and visiting Port Arthur was easily the highlight of the year that I turned thirteen, but I remain scepti Read the rest!

What Bad Habits Would You Like to Magically Stop?

by Carly Jacobs
Just before I moved to Melbourne I had drinks with a girl that I went to high school with. We used to be really close, so it was lovely catching up with her. Mid conversation she made a disgusted face and said ‘Ew… oh my god… I can’t believe you’re still doing that!‘ I had cracked my knuckles. And I didn’t even realise I’d done it. Clearly I’ve been doing this Read the rest!

What was your first job? What was your worst job?

by Carly Jacobs
I’ve been reading Fat Mum Slim’s ebook today (which is all kinds of delicious) and she mentioned that her first job was slicing bread in a bakery. How bizarre. I can’t imagine her doing that at all. I’m a total gossip and I love knowing little things like this about my readers so I wanted to ask you the following questions! What was Your First Job? What was Your Worst Job? What’s the Read the rest!

How do you Feel About Marriage?

by Carly Jacobs
As a young women in a committed, long-term relationship, it’s often falsely assumed that I must be twitching to get my man down on one knee as soon as humanly possible. Or at least casually browsing in Tiffany’s every second Saturday. When I say that I don’t want to get married any time soon, this statement is viewed as an act of self-preservation. It’s decided that my partner isn’t Read the rest!

Things I Wanted as a Child but Never Had.

by Carly Jacobs
Don’t worry. This isn’t a sob story about how my parents never hugged me. It’s a list of random material items that I would have sold my tiny soul for as a child but for some reason never got, inspired by Lady Melbourne’s twitter conversation yesterday. I’m pretty sure it’s because my parents realised these things were useless and just ignored me until I stopped asking f Read the rest!
