Why don’t you…

* Make little pom-pom shoe clips to jazz up your favourite heels? Clip them to the toes? The heels? The ankle straps? Just wear one? Or both but in different places?

* Drink green tea all day? From a dainty cup and saucer?

* Ditch all packaging in your kitchen? Replace unsighlty boxes and bags with mis-matched glass jars? For cereal? Rice? Lentils? Re-use condiment jars and bottles and have a pantry fit for a potion maker?

* Lie on the floor all afternoon and read an entire book?

* Get a make-over? Have a gorgeous beautician give you a brand new look? Try something new? Start wearing blush? Consider smoky eyeshadow? Bronzer? Berry hued lipstick?

* Stop thinking of cooking as a burden? Start making healthy and delicious dinners? Lentil curries? Herbed lamb skewers? Spicy vegetable noodles? Pop on an apron and pretend you’re Nigella Lawson?

* Eat only organic dark chocolate?

* Move your body? Take an adult ballet class? Pilates? Ballroom dancing? Be elegant?

Pom-pom shoe clips? BEST IDEA EVER. Excuse me while I run away and figure out how to make some.

We keep our cereals and such in glass jars (old pickle jars). This isn’t so much as about style, as about practicality. We live in a humid tropical climate, so open things of food attract bugs!

I poured my muesli into a glass jar with those cool metal flippy lid latches from ikea – feeling sooo European right now.

was so excited to see this title; I love your why don’t yous!
cooking i always think of as the perfect activity: it needs to be done, right? so there you have this great, enjoyable passtime that, being essential, can be used to put off just about any other, less enjoyable, responsibility. yay!

I already pretend I’m Nigella. She is my current lady crush!

Summer just kills my desire to cook – it’s 1,000,000 degrees as it is. I’m on a sushi/salad only diet at the moment – because neither require any actual ‘cooking’ (involving flames) to create (I buy my sushi :s ).

Yes, this does make me the laziest man in the world.

I am in love with this post! I have days where I drink green tea all day, but never from a dainty cup. Must try this.

And kitchen cupboards look so much nicer without all that packaging.

Suggestion when making noodle dishes with few ingredients?

Use a ton of different colors, shapes and sizes. You’ll feel like you’re eating a meal that has a lot of stuff in it, and it will be fun to look at. I’m a personal fan of pinwheels. I’m going to check out lentil recipes, since I just bought enough to get me through an apocalypse.

I felt it was time I stopped hiding! Been reading blog since last March when I stumbled across it during a rather boring day in office at old place of work. Love love love love Smaggle ideas & stories – brightens up my day when i stop by!

Le Parfait make my preferred jars – they make your kitchen look sophisticated & expensive – even with my cornflakes inside!

I started Swing Dance lessons in November – when I say started I mean “went to 2!” but have been inspired to get my ass back to the lessons – Thank yoooooooouu! x

Miss Peregrin – I’m on it! My dear friend just gave me her old sewing machine. DIYs AHOY!

Pretaporter – Oh my! That sounds horrifying… but still, good excuse for style hey?

Dr Stumpy – Eating cereal out of those containers always makes me feel like I’m in a B&B…

J – Thank you! I always like writing them but people have only just started to respond to them…

Grant – I LOVE cooking… unfortunately I love things with taste that aren’t so good on the waist line.

Kate – I wish my boobs were like hers…

Antonella – Hate green tea? Why?

Diana – Thanks love. I adore herbal tea and Roomy Smaggle always makes it for me in a pot with a gorgeous cup and saucer…

Lymie – Delish! I LOVE noodles. As far as I’m concerned they are food group on their own.

Jess – Well thanks for coming out and saying hi! I love comments! Swing dancing sounds awesome. All dancing is awesome!
