Red Cardigan – Daily Style

Red Cardigan – Daily Style
Carly Jacobs

Today was farely average at work. Not super busy but not super quite. Browny and I went for a walk at lunch which was delightful. This afternoon I may or may not be having coffee with my friend. I’m not being elusive I actually don’t know because she won’t message me back so I’m in limbo. Tonight I’m going to study Japanese (if I can find the motivation!) and maybe sit around a little bit…

* Wool skirt thrifted at St Vinnies

* Singlet thrifted at Salvation Army

* Cardigan from SES

* Boots from Boots for Broads

* Necklace thrifted from St Vinnies

Two random things to tell you today

1. I found an AWESOME pair of Nine West platform shoes at Vinnies yesterday and they were charging FIFTY DOLLARS FOR THEM!!! And they were really old and majorly worn in. The bastards. They just take all the fun out of thrifting.

2. My cat is cheating on me with another woman. Several times he has disappeared for a few days and has returned fatter than ever and smelling like talcum powder. He came home after a weekend away wearing a collar. He doesn’t have a collar. Well not one that we gave him anyway. What a bastard.

    First of all, no way about that skirt. Wool, too! It is the most adorable thing ever.

    Also, I totally agree about those clever Vinnies volunteers going all crazy with prices! It’s ridiculous.

    I agree about St Vinnies et al. taking the fun out of thrifting – it is so rare to find great things here. Booo! I am rather jealous of the lucky ladies on W_R who seem to pick things up for a few bucks…

    Lauren – It was $6 and I love it!

    Night Owl – I suspect it might be easier to thrift in America. Australia is so isolated and we have only designer stores for the past few years you never find anything amazing. There is some really old stuff that’s kind of cool but it’s usually in terribly condition.

    Gryphangirl – Thanks. Browny loves taking my photo in this spot.

    Ivy – I know he so rude. But he is gorgeous and fluffy and snuggly so I can see why they are trying to steal him. The skirt is fairly old I’ve worn it before. It’s second hand.I love it but the belt comes undone a million times a day.
